Miss Lizzie - Principal/Teacher
'Highly skilled and very encouraging' - Parent
Miss Lizzie graduated from The Urdang Academy with a 1st Class BA Hons in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre, and went on to earn a Distinction in her MA in Musical Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and Level 2 CYQ in Exercise to Movement instruction.
Lizzie has taught contemporary, jazz, tap, ballet, musical theatre, and exercise to music from age 2 to adult at stage schools, mainstream schools and evening classes. She has delivered facilitation in UK schools, as well as having worked internationally facilitating dance and performing arts in schools and arts centres and preparing students for large scale performances. She also works as a private tutor for both children and adults in a range of styles and has had success gaining students places on prestigious degree courses at vocational institutions as well as prepping students for examinations and couples for their first dances! As a current actor and dancer, Lizzie brings valuable, up to date knowledge and experience from her work in theatre into the classroom and has a great professional network to call on. Lizzie launched ADC in 2017 and now runs tutoring, community classes and workshops throughout London in conjunction with various charities and organisations to bring dance opportunities to a wider audience. The ADC motto is 'Dance for ALL' and Lizzie looks forward to extending that motto to the younger generation with ADC stars!
Miss Jessie - Teacher
Miss Jessie began dancing at the age of 3 at Kilburn School of Dance, Northamptonshire. She then went on to train professionally at the Urdang Academy, attaining a First Class BA Hons in Professional Dance and Musical Theatre.
Whilst training she worked towards her Diploma in Dance Instruction and now with the backing of a professional musical theatre agent, Jessie is pursuing her love for dance and musical theatre as both a performer and teacher. One of the highlights of her career was performing in the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics with the English ballerina Darcey Bussel. Jessie has taught extensively for ten years and is also co-director of Action Dance Collective CIC, contributing to community and charitable projects alongside Miss Lizzie.
